About the job
About QV Bioelectronics
Glioblastoma is the most aggressive primary brain cancer in adults, and survival rates have barely improved in two decades. QV Bioelectronics is changing that. We're building GRACE, the world's first fully implantable electric field therapy device for brain tumours. Backed by leading deep-tech investors and world-class neurosurgeons, we've secured £4.5m to take GRACE into first-in-human clinical trials. We're a growing team at Alderley Park, moving from design into verification, manufacture, and the clinical phase. If you want your work to matter, this is the place.
The Role
We need a Junior Operations & Quality Coordinator to support our Head of Quality, Head of Operations, and the engineering team. You'll sit at the centre of our quality and operational infrastructure as we develop a Class III implantable medical device, and your work will directly accelerate our path to patients.
What you'll do:
- Support the QMS: document control, maintenance of procedures, supplier qualification, internal audits, and KPI reporting for management reviews (QMRs)
- Maintain the approved supplier list and coordinate qualification activities
- Assist with regulatory documentation and technical file maintenance
- Coordinate procurement of components, consumables, and equipment; keep purchase orders and delivery timelines on track
- Manage shipping and logistics for prototypes, test samples, and clinical supplies (UK and international)
- Maintain project dashboards and trackers in ClickUp
- Coordinate with external test houses, contract manufacturers, and service providers
- Support day-to-day ops: facility management, calibration scheduling, and H&S compliance
What we're looking for:
- 1-2 years' experience in quality, operations, or project coordination in a regulated industry
- Hands-on QMS experience (document control, audits, CAPAs, or training records)
- Degree in a relevant discipline (Quality Management, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or similar)
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning tasks independently
- Strong written communication, especially for controlled documentation
- Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment
Nice to have:
- Medical device or pharma experience; familiarity with ISO 13485 or ISO 9001
- Exposure to Class III or active implantable device development
- Formal quality qualification (CQI, Internal Auditor, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of ISO 14971 (risk management)
Location: Alderley Park, SK10 4TG. On-site minimum 4 days per week.
Why join us?
A mission-driven team tackling one of the hardest problems in oncology, with technology that could transform how brain cancer is treated. Glioblastoma is just the beginning: our platform is designed to expand into paediatric tumours, brain metastases, and other solid cancers.
